Our client, a busy Maternity unit in a large hospital has vacancies for flexible, enthusiastic midwives committed to providing a high-quality standard of care. All Midwives on Guernsey are appointed on Band 6 or higher and cover all areas from booking through to postnatal discharge – incorporating parent education and home births. Caring for approximately 650 women and their families each year, the Midwifery service is an integrated unit comprising of an antenatal/postnatal ward, a labour ward, an antenatal clinic, a day assessment clinic and transitional care. Glance at the facilities: ·BFI accredited ·Low epidural rate ·600-650 deliveries a year ·25% sections ·Midwives work in hospital and community ·20 beds in labour ward ·Experience can be gained in all areas, low to high risk Typical Offerings: ·Permanent Jobs ·Agenda for Change Rates - in line with UK with some local adjustments ·Annual Leave entitlement; New members of staff with no previous experience - 36 days, nurses with 5 years service - 38 days, nurses with 10 years service - 42 days. ·Pension Optional ·NMC Subscriptions Paid ·Beautiful Location with pleasant temperatures in the Summer Months ·Some Relocation Expenses covered · Bonus: £1000 – After 1 Year & £783 Pro Rota each Feb. ·Tax capped at 20% - so you can SAVE more of your earnings. ·Assistance will be given with NMC Registration and Permits if Required.
